Cancellation policy

We get it — life happens, plans change. Here's exactly how we handle cancellations, in plain language, so there are no surprises.

If you need to cancel your booking

More than 7 days before
Full refund, or transfer your booking to another date — your choice.
7 days to 48 hours before
50% refund, or transfer to another date for free. We usually recommend the transfer — same value, you just pick a new date.
Less than 48 hours before, or no-show
We can't refund the booking — by then your clay is portioned and the café has your seat ready. You're welcome to gift your spot to a friend; just email us their name and we'll update the guest list.

Cancellations are processed manually by Sterre, usually within a working day. You'll get an email when your refund is on its way.

Groups of 5 or more

Booked 5 or more seats in one order? The windows scale up, because a big group is genuinely hard to refill on short notice.

More than 14 days before
Full refund, or transfer the group to another date.
14 days to 7 days before
50% refund, or transfer to another date for free.
Less than 7 days before
No refund. You can still bring different people if some of your group can't make it — just email us the updated names.

If we have to cancel

If a workshop can't go ahead — too few sign-ups, illness on our side, a venue issue — you get a full refund, automatically. We'll email you as soon as we know, and the refund lands on your card within 5–10 working days.

Send a friend

Can't make it but don't want your seat to go to waste? You're always welcome to give your spot to someone else, right up to the day of the workshop. Just reply to your booking email with their name — no fee, no fuss.

A difficult situation?

Life's complicated. If you're dealing with something that doesn't fit the windows above — a family emergency, a sudden illness, something else — just reply to your booking email and tell Sterre what's going on. We'll always try to find a fair solution.
